Update:
My house is being flooded currently. we think that water will completely submerge the bottom floor of our house....and its been raised. my mum evacuated with the neighbour, dog and bird and are now staying at a friends place which is on higher ground. luckily most of the suff that was of value was able to be moved upstairs where it should be safe.

i hate bing stuck down here in adelaide not being able to do anything up in bris with my house.

the floods are now worse than the floods of 1974, and the brisbane river has not even reached its peak yet, which is meant to happen at 4am tomorrow morning.

pontoons, boats and pretty much anything that isnt secured is floating down the river at great speed. pretty much all that you can see is just brown water.everywhere.

my heart goes out to people in worse effected areas than me, such as ipswich, toowoomba and the lockyer valley.

i bloody hope looters stay away from peoples homes, it just disgusts me - people doing such low acts.

right now here are some figures:

12 confirmed dead
67 missing (down from 90 thankfully)
and 75% of queensland will/has en affected by the floods.

this is so crazy.
(end update)

if you dont know i live in australia, you might have seen flood stories in the news? yeah well i live in brisbane..which is in queensland..which has been having massive flooding.

what makes it worse is that, im away in adelaide 'on holiday'right now, but my mum is at home...she was meant to fly down today. thts not going to happen ow.

id prefer to be home right now, so that i can know exactly whats going on.

The scariest time in my life (I live in Brisbane too). The floods were no where near us but if you drove 10km in any direction it would have hit. That was the scary part. It was so surreal..
